4th of July 2012!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY 2012!

We had a great time this year.  This year we spent up in logan.  We watched the stadium fireworks from a small lookout point (McCord's brilliant idea).  Talia loved the fireworks, never cried, and seemed simply fascinated by them.

After the stadium fireworks on the night of the 3rd, we went to the pancake breakfast on the morning of the 4th.  McCord's favorite thing!  It was so good.  I also won a small roasting pot at the auction for $10 - sweet!

That night, we had a FABULOUS barbecue with the Larsen's.  It was wonderful.  I snapped some shots of Talia playing with her grandpa Paul.  I love that he has his grilling apron on still.  He's great with the grill.

After the barbecue, we had homemade oreo icecream and homemade raspberry icecream.  Yum yum yum.  We lit sparklers for the kids and lit our own fireworks.  McCord and I love the new laws that were passed last year on legalizing aerial fireworks, so ya, we totally go all out on those and bought a ton this year.  Mixed with everyone elses fireworks that were there, it turned out to be a great firework show!
