Nesting phase?

They call it the "nesting phase" of pregnancy. I don't really know if it's exactly like they say. But I am proud to say that the nursery is almost done! I only have some things to put on the walls (pictures and flowers), but this is pretty much how her room is going to be. I tried to get all angles. The one above is what you see when you walk in, and the brighter one is the opposite side of the room. Note: The bassinet will not really be there. You'll have to imagine our chocolate colored microfiber recliner/rocking chair and ottoman there instead.

Nesting phase continues with our front room. We have officially taken time since this last christmas to do some nice things for our house. Our front room looks so much different now. We got rid of all 4 of our ugly couches and replaced them with a sectional, got a projector, new tank stand for our frogs, new tv stand, new 8 foot bookshelf, and new shelves on our wall for decorations. We also put up pictures and got curtains and rugs. Lastly, new coffee table, end tables, lamps, and two small ottomans. Few! It's been a crazy last 5 months, and a lot of things thrown out or given away, and a ton of things replaced, now that I've written all that out in a list. Lastly, I did move everything in my kitchen, cleaned out the cupboards, labeled tupperware, and rearranged the whole kitchen last month. I think it's ok to officially say that I may be done with "the nesting phase" for a while. ha ha ha.

"Avengers Assemble!"

The Avengers movie doesn't come out until May 4th. We got to see it on the premiere night last night! We have both been so excited for this movie forever. The movie was awesome, and I didn't go into labor during it! It was a great night out. We watched a bunch of the marvel films leading up to the Avengers at our house with a bunch of friends. We made little Avengers cakes and had a great time. Here's a picture of McCord at the store with the soda pop art. He was so excited:

We think we will call her Talia. It's not set in stone until we get to see her though. So, if that really IS supposed to be her name, we will hang this picture in the nursery:

Baby crib: McCord's project

McCord was so excited to put up the crib this last weekend. He wouldn't let me help at all. He said, "No, it's the dad's job to put up the crib." He also loves the Winnie the Pooh theme. He's so proud of his work:


I plan on putting up a few more little decorations for her room. Not a lot, but a few. Winnie the Pooh theme with daisies. Colors probably pink and yellow. I'll post pictures later once everything is completed.(Don't worry, the superhero pictures will not be a part of the nursery. ;-)
