This was McCord's favorite castle because it is older and more of a castle than a palace. He loved the 3 moats and stories that came with protecting the castle from invasion. This was a pretty small castle but we loved the ancient architecture and the traditional stories in history that were told about it.
CASTLE #2: The second castle was Lisa's favorite because it was HUGE and impecably gorgeous! We loved the gardens and the inside was beautiful. This castle once belonged to a hot-headed bishop and his family. They were so obsessed with impressing everybody with their huge house, fancy clothes, silk walls, statues, etc that when they died, after selling all of their belongings, were still in debt $2 million. Interesting story. Beautiful castle.

I love the look on McCord's face in the one where you are holding hands. At the second castle. It is cute. Almost as if... he's just tickled to be holding your hand. ^_^
What a great experience you too are having! Castles are amazing. When I went to Ireland, they were my favorite part!
