March & April house project: Baby's Room

The remodel of the bedroom begins! This counts as our March, April, and into May house project.

On the list of things to do:

- remove popcorn ceiling

- texture the ceiling

- prime & paint ceiling

- hang new ceiling light with fan

- patch work on walls & ceiling

- paint walls (from ugly pink to almond)

- new baseboard trim

- new closet doors

- new shelves in closet

February 4th:

Valentine's Day 2016

This Valentine's Day we are doing something small. We went on a double date with Tristan & Sarah to a restaurant with no menus. It was an excellent experience. I just loved it. We also were able to host my brother Nate and his fiancé, Alex for their Valentine's dinner at our house. McCord and I got all the Chinese food  in glassware and made a nice candlelit path with rose pedals and a beautiful table.

February house project - wood flooring

Our house project for February was getting the wood flooring in our entryway and by the basement door. It's beautiful and we love it. 

Remodel of Talia's new bedroom

January's house project was an expensive one. We are happy to announce Talia's new bedroom is finished!

We redid the ceiling, insulated the whole thing, fixed the heat duct, new paint on baseboards and walls and closet. New fan light. Hung up the decor and moved in all her stuff. It looks perfect for our little girl.

New Year 2016!

We are so excited to bring in 2016. So many things happening for us this next year with a lot of travel involved. 2015 was great with many blessings and accomplishments:

2015:

- both got jobs @ WGU

- Lisa quit Univ of Utah, McCord quit Batt Plus shop

- both got raises with WGU within the first 6 months

- Lisa started working from home

- paid off car debts

- found out about Lisa's balanced translocation

- having a baby in 2016.

- blessed to help people in need this year

Many goals for this next year, 2016:

- BABY #2 coming May.

- be MORE active in our own ward and ward family activities. Sign up for lots of things, feed missionaries, etc. 

- Christmas trip to Vegas 2015

- Idaho Falls trip in Feb 2016

- do 1 remodel in our house each month

- pay off mortgage insurance on our home.

- save up and go to Greece for our 10 yr anniversary (Plan is October 2016)

- Larsen Family summer vacation to St George in June 2016.

- Day family summer vacation to Bear Lake in July 2016.

- get McCord lasik?

This year Talia asked for a bouncy ball and a funnel. Our Christmas morning was amazing:

McCord got a rare Spider Gwen Stacy comic book from his friend Andy Makin. His face was priceless. My favorite picture.

My Christmas was amazing too! I got so many new things for my kitchen. I'm so happy and feel so blessed.
