Sledding behind the car

My dad, "Grandpa Craig", always pulled us behind the car in the sled or toboggan. This year Joseph gave him a big sled and my dad took the grandkids out and pulled them behind the car just like he did for us. It was super fun. The kids loved it! No tears or too cold, just pure excitement.

Look at my dad's face - how happy.  Awesome!

Merry Christmas 2014

Santa came to visit us on Christmas Eve. He brought all the things we asked for.
Gifts this year for me and McCord were given early. McCord got the new WiiU in September when it came out. McCord gave me a new 30" LED tv early because of all the medical issues I've been having. It was nice to rest and use my present with the last miscarriage especially. He also cleaned our bedroom and rearranged it how we wanted it. So sweet!
I've also included the picture of our, sort of, lit tree and the gifts we exchanged with our little family. There was an anonymous basket dropped off at our door on Christmas Eve. We still don't know who was so generous to have done this, but the picture below was what we received. We estimate the total worth of the presents in this basket were about $300! With tear-filled eyes we thank whoever did this for us.

Talia had fun opening her Santa gift, stocking. She loved the gift we have her as well (backpack with things inside for disneyland with the disneyland tickets):

Backpack of Disney presents to take to Disneyland (from mom and dad):
I had to post this face:
(The pez dispenser was exciting this year)

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!

We then went to Logan to visit and exchange gifts with the Day family. Talia slept in the car and I thought it was cute:

My parents are always SO generous. This year Talia got a little bike:

They also gifted us a vacuum, McCord received Bocce Ball, and I received my temple packet stuff that I've needed for over a year. More gifts we received:
Movie tickets (to McCord from Sara)
- Towels and shower curtain (to Lisa from Angie)

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!! We were so blessed this year to be able to get through all the rough times. We love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we celebrate his birth with peace and love. Happy Holidays to all!

Miscarriage #3

Miscarriage yet again. This one was a little harder since around 6 weeks there was a heartbeat that we could see. Exactly 1 week after there was no heartbeat. Miscarriage happened today while visiting my in laws for the thanksgiving break. I was emotional the entire holiday but was still welcomed with open arms and warms hugs.
With the priesthood blessing that I received 2 weeks prior - that's what made it easier to handle. I was less stressed and worried and it helped me with an eternal perspective during the whole pregnancy process and so forth. We are truly blessed to have great doctors, one of the top 10 hospitals in the country, and great insurance. We thank the Lord each day for our miracle daughter and hope that if it be his plan that we have at least 1 additional child. We are comforted by the spirit daily and are VERY grateful for what we DO have.
Emergency room visit: Dec 14th-15th.
Doctor's Visit: Dec 16th
D&C: Dec 18th
Recovery was quick: Dec18th-21st
(Thanks for my mom, my fellow supervisors at work Jason & Brad, and most of all MCCORD for helping me through this procedure and recovery)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2014

This Halloween was Talia's first time Trick or Treating. McCord got to take her. She also came to my work to show off and make me look good. Ha ha ha. So many fun pictures were taken. She had SO much fun in her "fairy" outfit and she loved having the wings on. She was well behaved and such an angel all day long.

After Talia went to bed McCord and I had deviled eggs, mushroom dip, and soda pop. We watched Hotel Transilvania and a little part of Casper. Was a relaxing evening after trick or treaters died down. What a great way to end the holiday.

New 02 Nissan Altima - engine blew!

with the hard year we have faced, we had more spontaneous bad news. The new Nissan that we purchased last night had a rod that blew in the engine less than 12 hrs after we bought it. We were stranded in sardine canyon by Mantua.  We grabbed trash from the side of the road and walked down to the creek and filled up what we could to dump it in the car and in the radiator to help cool it down. We felt resourceful.😉
Bad news is that the poor new car of ours is totaled due to the engine.
We were fortunate to have puttered inch by inch through the hills of the canyon after cooling it down and it finally stopped in Wellsville. Tristan came to pick us up and we had a tow take the car to the nearest shop. We were so grateful for nice people. Hopefully we will be able to fix the engine soon. We are down to 1 car (with horrible gas mileage) again. At least we have the Aggie Rodeo. Life sometimes feels hopeless. For us, we'll, these last 9-10 months have been the lowest we've been in a long time. We have hope and faith that things will get better though.

Time Out For Women 2014

Time Out For Women (TOFW) was just amazing this year. The theme was Shine and it was awesome! I had so much fun taking a few hours to personally enrich my soul and strengthen my testimony and spirit. The talks were amazing. Just wonderful. Here are the pictures that I attached with two of my favorite quotes from the conference.
