MIRACLES

Dear Family and Friends,
We have had so many miracles happen in our life because of this decision to go to Germany. We know that the Lord is looking out for us and has sent miracles to help is get to Europe!
1) We were worried that we would have to move out of our apt to save on rent. Miracle: McCord got on a new team with Qwest and we will receive that compensation money.
2) We were worried about McCord's job with Qwest. Miracle: He is going to be able to get a Leave Of Absence for the 6 months we are gone.
3) We didn't know if McCord could go to school and how we'd finance that while in Germany. Miracle: the LOA with Qwest will still give us the benefits, so his tuition will be paid and we will still have health ins coverage.
4) What about Lisa's work? Miracle: The boss said he'd hire her back on when we get back.
5) Plane tickets and costs? Miracle: Lisa had a dream with a great savings plan which would lead us to be able to cover the costs except for around $138 we'd have to come up with. Yesterday in the mail, we received an unexpected check for....get this....$138.

We have been so blessed and testify that if you are following the commandments and speak to the Lord about concerns, then the possible solutions will become apparent. You may even see little miracles.

"Whistle while you work..." and some additional pictures.

Just thought that I'd write a short paragraph about our jobs. McCord has been put on a new customer service team with Qwest. We are happy that he will bring in a little more money and not have to worry about selling so much. He's admired at Qwest and they pay his tuition. Woo hoo! He is also been approved for a LOA with them while we're in Germany, so when we come back to the US, he can just walk back in. Lisa is loving doing house visits with Access Home Care. She is being able to do more little things as a CNA and gets paid more for doing it. They also pay her travel time, which is nice for us. All in all, work is fabulous and we have been blessed to have work with these issues about the economy in the US.

Also, for genealogy purposes, here is a picture of us in 2006 during our first year of marriage when we went to try out to be on Deal or No Deal (the tv show).  We don't have many pictures of us from our first year of marriage so here is that picture and another from when we worked at Maddox together.  We are so happy together and love each other SO MUCH!

Vegas BABY! and some pictures while dating

McCord gave Lisa Phantom of the Opera tickets in Vegas for her birthday in April '08. Our anniversary shortly followed so we spent it in VEGAS, baby!

This is at the Bellagio Hotel water and light show.

Lisa's 22nd birthday present. This theatre, that we weren't suppose to take pictures in, was designed by Andrew Loyd Weber, himself, just for the show. The chandalier started in 4 pieces hangling low, broken, over the crowd.

After Phantom, we went on a gondola ride inside the Venitian Hotel. The gondolier was on the 3rd season of American Idol, and heard we were on our anniversary trip. He sang "That's amore" for us. It was awesome. We can both check off one thing on our bucket lists: Meeting someone famous. This was after we went on "The Price is Right live". Note the classic name tags. Shaking McCord's hand is the famous host of "Supermarket Sweep" television show. He was also the host of The Price is Right. Also in the picture was the "fake Rod Roddey", and the models.Of course, we had to stop by the M&M factory. I've never seen so many M&Ms in my life! Cheers to you dad: who orders special M&Ms with "McCord and Lisa" written on them for our wedding.
