Talia had so much fun this year for Halloween. First time she used the calendar to cross off the days until a holiday. Was going to be Elsa, but then wanted to be Elsa at Comic Con last month and Ariel for Halloween. She loved every second of this day.
This holiday season I'm grateful for the simple things. We've had some drastic changes in our lives this last year and I thought I'd take the time to write down a list of a few small things I am grateful for:
I'm grateful for our health insurance. It's not the greatest in the world, but is certainly has saved us a heapload of money.
I am also grateful for a dental plan that pays 30%, sometimes 50%.
Also so grateful for my great doctors, pediatrician, and dentists.
Wednesday (day before thanksgiving): traveled to Logan to Day grandparents house, played with cousins, game night, enchiladas and salad, cheese ball and crackers and making pies for thanksgiving.
Thursday (Thanksgiving): basketball morning and jumping on trampoline, thanksgiving dinner, game night and resting and relaxing with leftovers all day.
Friday (day after thanksgiving): early black Friday shopping. We got great deals and nearly ALL our Christmas shopping done, put up grandma Trust's Christmas tree, movie and game night before bed with lol smokies. Adults watched comedians after kids went to sleep and we laughed our heads off.
Saturday: mccord went to a dinner at Maddox for grandma Dora's 98th bday. arcade games with grandpa and grandma Day, morning hike, Christmas Village and lights in Ogden at night. Arctic Circle dinner on the way home.
Sunday: church, clean up and packing, making grandma trudy's bday cake and birthday dinner and presents that night. Happy 53rd bday to my awesome mother!
We then drove home back to SLC.
Pretty awesome weekend. I didn't take many pictures, but wanted to write down all the fun things that we did, like Bingham climbing in the full bathtub fully clothed. It was super awesome and we loved the family fun and food.

We both had SO much fun. The opening song with all the magic, fireworks, music and explosions made us both cry with joy. We loved all the magic that the show had to bring. The togetherness that we shared will never be forgotten. This has been one of the best memories as a mother. What a special girl I have and how lucky I am to call her mine. I love you Talia!
My dad's talk was my favorite talk of the services. My dad gave such a moving talk.
This uncle of mine was such a tender hearted man and so soft and sweet. The oldest boy in my family (my brother Jared) is named after Sterling. That should say something about this man. My parents loved him dearly and so do I.
What wonderful services. This was an unexpected death in my life and i'm feeling grateful for my memories of him.

This birthday has been fun. Talia and I hung some decorations. Jazz basketball themed party. It wasn't too fancy but we certainly had fun getting ready.
We made his traditional 2 cakes and also served things you'd eat at a Jazz game: hit dogs, chips, and sodas.
Presents:
- hockey stick from Talia so they could play together
- Warren Miller movie/Ski pass from Bingham
- I gave him an Aggie tie, and a signed Brandon Mull Fablehaven book.
- I also gave him a date night out to dinner at Tucanos with Tristan&Sarah and Cory&LeAnn Pehrson, which was amazing!

My work was doing a Carnival theme and my section was given the creatures of the deep. We made a Pirates of the Caribbean twist on it. So I was a pirate. It was pretty dang fun.
McCord dressed up as his favorite superhero this year. He's wanted to do this for years. He. Loved. It.
Miscarriage #5, pregnancy #7 would have been due this month (Oct 2017). Thought I'd post the picture of how we were going to announce it, just for memories sake.
Had to post a picture of this great moment. We dropped McCord off at The Nerd Store in the Valley Fair Mall for work. Coming out of the mall, my kids held each other's hand and walked down the long path to the car together. How beautiful this sight was. Laughing together and walking. Priceless moment
After years and years of catching and playing, McCord caught all 801out of 801 Pokémon. In honor of this accomplishment, I decided to have him post his favorite pokémon, 1 of each type.
