Splash Pad w Chandler cousins.

Adam, my brother in law, has been numb in his legs and loosing his eye sight. He was rushed to he IHC hospital here in Salt Lake all the way from Logan for further testing. He's been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that he'll have for the rest of his life. Steroid treatments have helped the symptoms. While he was in the hospital, Angie and I took the kids to Arctic Circle for lunch and to a small splash pad to play. Best of luck to Angie, Adam, and their family.

Mother's Day 2015

Mother's Day is always a great day for me. It's a day when we can give ourselves a pat on the back for all our hard work as women (whether you have children or not). Too often we compare ourselves to other women and think how inadequate we are compared to others. This is a day of celebration for your deeds, accomplishments, and love. I am grateful this Mothers Day for the wonderful family that I have, including my parents and in laws and their kids. I am grateful for the love we share, the laughs and good times, and the strong bonds and support. We are all pretty dang good people and that is cause for celebration. Below is the pictures that I have with me and Talia (my mom picture for the year) what joy she has and what joy she brings in my life. McCord as well. We are so blessed!!!

Happy Mother's Day to my mom:
What a wonderful mother in Zion she is.  She is one of my BIGGEST heroes.  I only hope to turn out 1/2 as good as she is.  She is just amazing!  Love you mom.

Sad news on mother's day:
Through more trials and struggles - we each become stronger. I also refuse to be self-centered and pull others down even though I have some hard times in my life.  We must keep positive and see the blessing that we do have instead of those that we do not:
Even though we long to have another child and a playmate for Talia, we keep the faith and stand immovable, rock solid in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Keeping our roots planted and a firm foundation in Christ.  For we are here to build one another up and help one another and gain experience and return to him once again. We have faith in our home. We hope everyone who knows us and comes to visit can feel that faith and the strong spirit that has been with us through EVERY bump in the road. May the Lord continue to bless each of our friends and family members this Mothers Day. We love you all so very much.

Lisa Birthday 29

For my birthday this year, McCord has taken me to Boondocks where we could race go-carts, mini golf, laser tag, and much much more. He took me out to dinner there as well. It was so awesome! Family members gave me gifts pictured below. Thanks a whole heap everyone for such a great birthday. I feel super spoiled.

McCord unwell - restful weekend

We had so many throngs planned for this weekend. So many possibilities with yard work to catch up on, maybe a fam trip to zoo or aviary, perhaps catch up on cleaning the house or the car or do lunch in the park. McCord woke up feeling unwell. So this weekend we will be resting at home and neglecting chores to take care of him. Talia helped me do laundry, cook the meals for this week, and do the dishes. That's all we are doing this weekend. The rest of the time we are reading books, coloring and doing stickers, playing catch inside, and anything else to help daddy rest. Lots of juice consumption. Most weekends are filled with too much to do. This weekend, we will take it easy.

Snow Day in April

That's right ladies and gents! It snowed more today than it did in all of December, January, or February. We had so much fun playing in the snow. We build our 1st ever snowman. This was talia'a 1st ever snowman. Or...snow woman. She has grassy pig tails. Anyway - what a blast we had!

Accomplishing goals

Goals I have accomplished this year:
- I finished Ender's Shadow of the Hegemon!
- got temple names to do from Brice
- gave money to a family whose mother has had brain surgery. Something they couldn't do for themselves.
- recommended my friend Maddy for a job interview at my new work. They called her and scheduled it for tomorrow. She and her husband have been struggling financially and with stress and school. Her doctor said it's effecting her health.

Easter Sunday 2015

This Easter Sunday was also the 185th General Conference of the Church. President Boyd K Pakers talk spoke to me the most as well as Sister Linda K Burton (relief society gen pres). They are wonderful inspiring and motivational talks. Packers spoke to me with his bold words of comfort for those who may not be aw to have more children. He spoke of the powerful healing and comfort of the atonement for those struggling with needing comfort.
Sis Burton's talk was about the relationship of the spouse and what wonderful points she brought up about marriage and about love for family members.  How full my heart was and how great was my comfort to hear the words of the prophets. My testimony has grown tremendously and conference only fortified it more intensely. May we all listen to the talks and go back to re-read and study them. Very inspiring!

Happy Easter Bunny Day 2015

Happy Easter Bunny Day! This morning the Easter bunny left us treats and new spring shoes. Attached are also pictures of grandpa Ronald and grandma Nola ("Ronola") Easter egg hunt this year. We had egg breakfasts and Talia loved it. Took a picture of her breakfast because she was so happy. It was such a fun Easter this year and we got quite spoiled.
