Talia Potty Trained
Just a post to say how proud I am of Talia. She decided to start potty training last Friday evening and went by herself on the toilet. We then said ok I guess we are potty training now. I took her to the store Saturday morning and we bought some supplies that she picked out and we went over how to go potty etc. she then had a rougher time Saturday getting going, but has done famously the whole week long with <3 accidents per day each day this while week. She has really embraced the training and has done SO well! We are beaming with pride and joy for her as she has reached this new phase in life.
"Potty wise for toddlers" is a great tool that we have been using to help train her. I highly recommend it.

Miscarriage #2
******* Personal journal post*****
This post was reserved for weeks to announce Baby #2. Here it is August 3rd and we're sad to say that we have lost this baby as well. We were told by the doctors on the 5th that my symptoms show it is not a viable pregnancy. Not much can be done to prevent a miscarriage. I was 8 wks along. The miscarriage was finalized on Aug 18th. Of course it is sad to hear such news from healthcare professionals. This one happened naturally on its own. Perhaps it wasn't meant to be. This has been harder for me to deal with than the 1st miscarriage. I took 10 days off work since it was quite difficult to deal with emotionally as well as physically. I first felt that it was my fault but over the course of the week I have felt comforted that my those feelings were not true. McCord and I are both so reassured & comforted by the spirit that we will have at least 1 additional child. We both have relied on our Heavenly Father and our faith during this trying time. The good feelings have overwhelmed the bad as I look back on the full week. We are blessed with a sweet little girl and we know that we will get another child when the time is right. May God bless anyone who is going through hardship for we understand and know there is a way threw the heartache. Good things lie ahead for us; we just know it.
Here is a picture idea I had for announcing this baby. Thought I'd attach it for memories sake:
(D&C conducted 08/22/2014. Recovery time good. Process was hardly painful. All is well.)

4th of July - 2014
This year for the Independance Day we celebrated in a smaller way than we typically have done. In past years we've gone up to Logan and did what the extended family did. This year, due to work and $, we decided to do a little something here within our little family. In our new house and new neighborhood, we had such a great time.

UACRAO work conference
I had a conference at Southern Utah University this last week. My work paid for everything of course. The conference was great and I learned a lot professionally. Here are some pictures of my trip:

First Garden: 2014
"Mary Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow?..."
Lt to Rt: Yellow squash, cucumber, 2 rows of beets.
This year on Memorial Day we made a little garden in our backyard. It's about 7 ft x 3 ft. Since we didn't have a lot of tools and such we are starting small and will grow to have a larger garden later. We are so excited to try this new adventure. Very very excited!
Lt to Rt: Yellow squash, cucumber, 2 rows of beets.
Our 2 tomato plants in our front flower bed. Looking good!
